Block printing is a process that has been used for thousands of years. It is a process of carving an image onto a block of wood and transferring it to fabric or paper using ink. In this workshop students will learn the basics of the block printing process. Each participant will have the opportunity to carve a linoleum block and begin printing their block immediately in class. The beauty of the block printing process is that it can be repeated over and over again. No printmaking experience is necessary to participate in this class.
